Volunteer Administrator Wanted

As part of our work we help members of the public to rehome their animals by bringing them into our kennels or foster homes when we have space available.

We are looking for a part time administrator on a voluntary basis to manage our waiting list of owners wanting to relinquish their pets to our care.

This is a home based role and you will need a computer or similar device with internet access.

Tasks will include:

  • Managing a spreadsheet database using Google Sheets.
  • Managing a cloud based database.
  • Sending Emails.
  • Occasionally making phone calls.
  • Flagging any urgent cases to the trustees.
  • Arranging neutering appointments with vets/owners where necessary.
  • Handling data inline with GDPR (Data Protection) policies.
  • Reporting to the trustees at least once a week.

Person Specification

  • Computer literate and able to use spreadsheets and email (Google)
  • Friendly telephone manner
  • Able to dedicate regular time each week to this task

No experience is necessary and we welcome applicants from any background. Full training will be provided as well as ongoing support.

This role will be subject to a trial period of 1 month.

Volunteer Own Vehicle Animal Transporters Wanted

Do you love dogs?

Do you have your own car or van and time to volunteer each week to transporting animals?

Then we may have the opportunity for you!

Four Paws Animal Rescue are looking for people to help transport animals across South Wales.

This would involve using your own vehicle with provided car barriers, cages etc to collect animals and take to vet appointments or move them between locations.

Applicants will need to have a clean driving licence with 2 years worth of driving experience .They will be required to inform their insurance company that the vehicle will be used for volunteering purposes (a letter can be provided for this.)

This is an unpaid voluntary role however mileage can be paid.

No experience is necessary (apart from being able to drive!) and we welcome applicants from any background. Full training will be provided as well as ongoing support.

You may on occasion be asked to drive the charity van, however this would only be applicable to applicants 25 years old plus, due to insurance purposes.
