Owner Relinquishments

We are sorry you have come to the difficult decision of needing to re-home your dog.  Please read the following information.

Primarily we take in dogs from the local pounds, but when we have spaces available we are able to take private hand-ins. We pride ourselves in a non-destruction policy. As far as possible we try to foster dogs in a home environment where they can be assessed and cared for without the stresses of kennels. All our animals receive veterinary care if needed, are vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, and if old enough they are neutered. All prospective new owners are home-checked and we offer lifetime rescue back up for all our dogs which means that if by any chance the re-homing doesn’t work out, we will take the dog back.

We are sometimes asked to provide temporary foster homes but we are unfortunately that isn’t something we are able to offer.  All our foster dogs have been relinquished to our care for re-homing.

Generally, we are also unable to let a dog stay in their current home while a new home is found as we need to take the dog in to enable it to be assessed.  Sometimes, we are able to do in-home assessments and home direct but this very much depends on the individual dog and its home circumstances.
