Miki came into our care after he was rescued from a mountain where he’d been abandoned and spent 13 days. He has been with us a little while now and has been neutered and vaccinated. His vet checked showed that he is suffering from arthritis and a slight curve of the spine. Neither thing bothers him and he doesn’t need any treatment at the moment, he’s a happy little chap and is loving being in his comfy foster home and his walks with his foster mum and furry foster sister.

Please put in an application in the first instance if you are interested in Miki. Approved applications will be home checked. Click Here for details of our adoption procedures/requirements and adoption application form.

Miki is still looking for his forever home. We have had a couple of false starts with him because he’s been badly let down by adopters who despite spending time with him ahead of adoption and knowing that he would need time and space to settle, haven’t been willing to put in more than a few days’ effort to help him get used to his new surroundings, and people.

We think his perfect forever home may be with just one person, perhaps someone who is retired and would like a little companion. Once he gets to know you he’s a sweet boy, he can be fearful because of whatever he went through in his previous life and will sometimes give a growl or snap - just his way of communicating that it’s getting too much, but trusting and affectionate if given the opportunity to get to know you.

He’s fine with other dogs and is happily in foster with a Cocker Spaniel girl, loves his walks and is a lovely little dog - he just needs the right home.
